“Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done on earth as it in heaven.” Matthew 6.10

Marietta will be transformed as this prayer is answered in our city. On the personal level, transformation is defined by individuals being conformed into the image of Jesus. As people cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s transformation of their lives into the likeness of Jesus, the atmosphere of Marietta will change. The culture of our community will become more joyful and less driven, more relational and less individualistic, more generous and less competitive, more kind and less divisive. In short, more like the Kingdom of God, and less like the kingdom of this fallen world.

“The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, ‘We have found the Messiah’.”  John 1.41

The grace of God travels most effectively along relational lines. Therefore, we seek to establish genuine friendships with people in order to be a conduit of this grace to all we meet. Our desire is not just to know our community, but to be an integral part of it so that we may be a source of blessing, hope, and encouragement.

  • Core Value I– Love God

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength– Mark 12.30

Loving God is not only the greatest commandment given to us by Jesus, it is also the greatest privilege offered to us by Him.  We seek to live daily the life of intimacy with God– to know and to experience His great love for us.  We cultivate this life by spending time with the Lord in prayer, fasting, and Bible reading, by asking the Holy Spirit to meet with us in worship, and by living a life of obedience to Him.

  • Core Value II- Love People

Love your neighbor as you love yourself– Mark 12.31

God exists in a perfect community of love as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  This reality underscores the fact that relationships are foundational to life itself– we are all created in the image of an intensely relational God.  We seek to pattern our life together after this divine community by intentionally cultivating authentic relationships with one another and by “doing church” in a way that values people over programs.

  • Core Value III– Make Disciples

Go and make disciples of all nations– Matthew 28.19

God predestined His people to be conformed to the likeness of His Son– Romans 8.29

Our destiny is to become more and more like Jesus– the ultimate DiscipleMaker who lived a life of personal investment in others. Jesus gave of Himself in order to help His disciples grow and mature. We desire to follow His example by giving to others what God has given to us so that we all may be “built up…attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
