Welcome to RiverStone Church! We are very excited about what God is doing in our midst- in our cell groups, Sunday Celebration services, and throughout our community. We would love for you to join us as we seek to see Cobb County transformed by God. In order for you to get to know us better, let us briefly describe our values and mission to you. We desire to become:

A House of Prayer

Jesus said, “My Father’s house will be a house of prayer.” At RiverStone we believe that prayer should be our first response, not our last resort. We desire everything we do to be bathed in prayer. To this end, we have a prayer room in the church building that is available for use and we also have activities centered on our belief in the power of prayer. These opportunities include:

A House of Worship

We believe that the most intimate expression of our love for God is worship. We desire our corporate celebration to be a time of greatrefreshing for everyone involved. Our goal in worship is to glorify God and engage His presence. We sincerely hope that you feel the freedom to worship God the way He deserves- with all of your heart.

A Center for Healing

We believe that Jesus is the Great Healer. While our world is being devastated by sin and sickness, we have confidence in God and God alone to heal. He has the power to bring life out of death. We desire to see healing take place in our church, our community and in every area of life: the physical, the emotional, the relational and most all, the spiritual. Because healing was central in Jesus’ ministry, we are committed to becoming a Center for Healing. We currently provide the following opportunities to learn about and receive healing prayer:

A Place of Development

We believe that God has called us to be a church that focuses on training and sending. We realize that many of the people who come to RiverStone Church are led here by God so that they can be trained, equipped, empowered, and then sent into strategic places of ministry around the world. Whatever God’s call on your life, we would love the opportunity to walk with you as you listen, discover, and fulfill your Kingdom Destiny.

Our congregation also meets in cells, or small groups, throughout the week. A cell group is comprised of 6-14 people who gather weekly to build relationships with one another through study, prayer and encouragement. Cell groups also help and reach out tothose who do not know Jesus. We have cells meeting Sunday through Friday in homes throughout Cobb County.

A People of Outreach

Jesus said that we are to make disciples of all nations. We encourage our people to pay attention to and be responsible for the “zone,” or area of influence, that God has given them. This could be a neighborhood, school, workplace, or little league team. As a church family, we believe that our “zone” is Cobb County. We are trusting God as we reach out to our zone and plan to plant as many as 20 churches over the next 10 years in Cobb County.

We also take seriously Christ’s call to the nations. We love giving to missions and missionaries, praying for missions and going on mission trips! Already, God has called many from our church into full-time, cross-cultural missions, and we anticipate that many, many more will be called to the nations.
